Maya, 3D animation, simulation, modelling, rendering and compositing software offers a comprehensive creative feature set for 3D computer animation, modelling, simulation and rendering on a highly extensible production platform. Maya provides high-end character and effects tool sets along with increased productivity for modelling, texturing and shader creation tasks. Using Maya I have to create a spaceship, I have never used Maya or even heard of it. The first lesson we was introduced to the software, for me it looked very complicated. I did practice creating random shapes to understand how Maya works and even after few trails I knew it will take me time to get used to get used to using this programme.
The Spaceships below are some of the examples, I came across when I searced 3D Spaceship. Looking at the examples, gave me an idea of what can be created using Maya.

Evaluation
For this project, I was asked to create an spaceship using the program Maya, which won a lot of awards. I did not know anything about maya, till I found out when I was introduced for this project, from my previous projects I have mentioned that using software is not my strongest. I was presented what maya is and the basic tools I can use to create my spaceship, it looked very complicated and confusing. The first sessions, was about trying to figure out how to create basic shape doing that allowed to know how does the shapes work and from one basic shape I can extrude it to make it look like something. I decided to do research on what maya is and spaceship, created using any 3D drawing software. The spaceship I looked at were detailed and outstanding, from all the pictures I looked at. I decided to take certain parts and silhouette to create my own. After three lesson, I was able it create something I was kind of happy about. Adding background to the spaceship I create made the spaceship look 100 times better. Looking at the finish piece, I do think it does look decent for my first try and there is resemblance of spaceship. If I had to do this again, I will make sure I will try creating more detailed spaceship.
